이 과목은 현대 스페인어 문장의 통사구조를 변형생성문법과 어휘기능문법이론으로 분석하고 스페인어 구조를 기술하는 데 있어 적합한 통사이론을 연구하는 데 중점을 둔다. 특히, 생성문법의 초기이론에서부터 최근의 최소주의 문법에 이르기까지 통사론의 연구방법론에 대한 전반적인 이해를 목표로 한다. 특히 근래 활발하게 연구되고 있는 촘스키의 생성문법에서 파생된 여러 통사이론의 특징들을 연구하고 언어자료에 응용할 수 있도록 한다.

In this class, students will analyze the syntactic structure of Spanish sentences using transformational generative grammar and lexical functional grammar. Specifically, this course provides an introduction to syntax, which has been especially developed by the recent minimalist program since the earlier theory of the generative grammar tradition. Students will study the main characteristics of syntactic theories derived from Chomsky’s Generative Grammar, applying them to the linguistic corpus.

스페인어의 의미의 최소단위에 해당하는 형태를 연구 분석하며 크게 파생형태론과 문법적 형태론으로 구분하여 습득한다. 파생형태론에서는 접사에 의한 파생관계를, 문법적 형태론에서는 통사론과의 관련성을 중심으로 연구한다.

The focus of this course lies in studying the morpheme which is the smallest unit of meaning. This study is related to Derivative Morphology and Grammatical Morphology. In detail, we will deal with the derivative relation caused by affixes in the former and the relation with the syntax in the latter.

스페인어 문장의 의미를 연구 분석하는 분야로서 그 이론적 분석과 응용적 연구를 동시에 수행한다. 문장단위의 의미론뿐만 아니라 담화 상에서의 의미 연구 분야인 화용론에 대한 연구도 다룬다.

This course offers a study of the meaning of Spanish. The area of concentration will be the theoretical applications related to Spanish semantics. We will deal with the theoretical methodology of semantics in verbal and nonverbal perspectives.

In this course, students will critically examine the possibility and limitations of the application of transformational generative grammar theory to various Spanish grammatical phenomena.

스페인어 사용자의 관점에서 본 언어분석의 한 방식으로 사회적인 상호작용 속에서 스페인어를 사용할 때 직면하는 제약, 스페인어의 사용이 의사소통의 행위 속에서 다른 참여자들에게 미치는 효과들을 연구 분석하며, 의미론, 사회언어학, 언어 외적인 상황의 매개 영역에 초점을 둔다.

In this course, students will concentrate on the polemics regarding the theory of topic-comment structure and critically examine various relevant arguments including how T-C structure is realized in individual grammatical categories.

In this course, students will examine various linguistic methodologies, weighing the strengths and limitations of their respective applications. Specifically, they will discuss on which methodology is most appropriate for the analysis of Spanish.

이 과목은 응용언어학의 한 분야로서 두개 이상의 언어를 언어학의 모든 분야에서 체계적이고 일관된 모델로 사용하여 대조하는 분야이다. 대조 분석은 언어에 대한 공시태적 연구로 언어의 음운, 형태, 의미, 문장, 문화 등 다양한 영역에 걸친 비교 연구를 포함한다. 특히 본 과목을 한국어와 스페인어를 포함하여, 영어, 프랑스어, 일본어, 중국어와 같은 다양한 언어들의 유형적 특성을 대조하고, 사회언어학, 언어교육 등과의 연계성과 활용 가능성에 대하여 연구하게 된다.

Spanish Contrastive Linguistics, a field of applied linguistics, compares and contrasts two or more languages as a systematic and consistent model in the whole fields of linguistics. Contrastive analysis is a synchronic and diachronic study on languages, and includes comparative studies of phonology, syntax, semantics, culture and so on. This course will focus on contrasting typical characteristics of the various languages (Korean, Spanish, English, French, Japanese and Chinese) and investigating the possible application to sociolinguistics or language education.

이 과목에서는 기존의 스페인어학이론이 교육에 구체적으로 어떻게 적용될 수 있을지에 대해 살펴볼 것이다. 구체적으로 생성문법이론의 교수법에로의 적용 가능성을 타진해 볼 것이며, 실제 현장실습을 통해 대학원생들로 하여금 교수법 경험을 쌓게 할 것이다. 이 과목에서는 순수이론연구를 심화시키되 응용언어학과 조화시킴으로써 이론연구를 교수법과 같은 스페인어 교육에 응용시킬 수 있다.

This course takes aim at looking for the new method of application of the established Spanish linguistic theory to the education. First, it will examine the possible application of the generative grammar theory to the teaching method. In addition, this course will allow students a chance of teaching. It is expected to strengthen pure theoretical studies, harmonize them with applied linguistics and apply them to the practical Spanish education.

이 과목은 서어서문학과 대학원생들을 대상으로 외국어로서의 스페인어 교육에 관한 학문적 방향을 제시한다. ‘학습자의 의사소통 능력 발달’이라는 스페인어 교수·학습의 목표를 실제 강의실에서 달성하기 위한 가장 최신의 이론과 실제를 살펴볼 것이며, 최종적으로는 효과적인 교수 방법을 모색하여 바람직한 수업 모델을 설계하는 것을 목표로 한다.

This course provides graduate students with academic approaches to teaching Spanish as a foreign language. It introduces the recent theories and practices in Spanish education in order to achieve the principal objective of developing the communicative competence of learners in the classrooms and finally it aims at a design of ideal class models by searching an effective teaching method. ’.- -

본 강좌의 목표는 스페인어 통사론에서 다루어지던 문법 항목이 응용언어학으로서의 SLA 연구에서 어떻게 활용되고 적용되는지를 살펴봄으로써, 수업 참여자들이 실제적으로 스페인어 습득연구를 설계하고 수행할 능력을 갖추게 함에 있다. 이와 같은 목표를 위하여, 본 강좌는 이론 파트와 응용 파트로 구분하여 구성되었다. 이론 파트에서는 SLA의 이론 틀 내에서도 UG에 근거한 Generative SLA의 접근을 살펴보도록 한다. White(2003) 강독을 통해 SLA 내 기본 개념과 주요 가설들을 학습하고, Montrul(2004) 강독을 통해 SLA 이론 내에서 스페인어의 주요 통사이론이 어떻게 연구되는지를 이론적으로 살펴본다. 이후 응용 파트에서는 총 9가지 주요 스페인어 문법 항목들에 대한 실제적인 응용 연구가 어떻게 진행되었는지를 살펴보고, 실험 연구의 주요 고려 대상인 언어적 전이현상 관련 연구를 살펴본다. 이후 실제적인 습득연구 실험 설계에서 활용되는 주요 3가지 방법론에 대해 살펴봄으로서 수강생들이 실제적인 습득 실험 연구를 설계하고 수행할 능력을 갖추도록 한다.

This course provides a general overview of theories, hypothesis and methodologies developed in Second Language Acquisition (SLA) studies. Throughout the course, the students will be guided and equipped to design and perform their own acquisition research, based on generative approaches to Spanish Second Language Acquisition. To this end, this course is built in two-folds, theoretical approaches and methodological approaches. First, we will get a good grasp of basics of SLA reading White (2003) and we will deepen our understanding with Montrul (2004), learning how Spanish acquisition is approached in SLA perspectives. It must be noted that among various approaches taken in the SLA studies, this course finds its foundation in Generative Second Language Acquisition (GSLA). In the second part, we will consider how core grammatical items in Spanish linguistics are studied reading former researches. We will also look into the concept of cross-linguistics influence (CLI), a factor that must be taken into account in acquisitional studies. As a final step, students will learn three major methodologies applied in SLA experiments.

In this course, students will read and study modern Spanish fiction through a variety of works, examining the basic literary terms, major Spanish writers and representative literary movements.

In this course, students will examine various methods in literary criticism and weigh their possibilities and limitations, finally applying them to actual Spanish literary works.

In this course, students will review and apply to literary works a variety of critical theories from many different perspectives, eventually arriving at a definition of the relationship between literary works and criticism.

이 교과목은 스페인 황금세기 문학의 꽃이라 할 수 있는 연극 장르에 대해 다양한 관점에서 접근하고 분석하는 것을 목표로 한다. 티르소 데 몰리나, 로뻬 데 베가, 칼데론 데 라 바르카 등의 '국민극'을 단순히 희곡 텍스트의 차원에서 분석하는 것이 아니라 당대의 권력, 이데올로기를 고려하여 심층적으로 바라볼 것이며 이를 통해 황금시대 '국민극'의 사회적·정치적 성격을 규명하게 될 것이다.

The object of this course is to approach and analyze the 17th and 18th century Spanish theatre, the so-called "flower" of the Spanish Golden Age literature. The "National Theatre" of Tirso de Molina, Lope de Vega, Calderon de la Barca, etc. will be analyzed not only as a literary text but also as political and ideological constructs of their epoch. Through the examination of the 17th and 18th century Spanish theatre, students will be able to define and clarify the social and political dimension of Golden Age National Theatre.

이 교과목은 스페인 현대성의 모순과 갈등으로 촉발된 스페인 내전을 문화사적 시각에서 조명하고, 전후 문학이 스페인 내전의 상흔을 재현하는 양상을 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 통해 내전이 어떻게 스페인인들의 정서에 무의식으로 자리 잡고 있는지, 그리고 어떻게 스페인적 정체성을 구성하고 있는지에 대해 연구하게 될 것이다. 현대 스페인 문화 생산물에서 내전의 기억이 어떤 정치적 함의와 결합하는가를 검토하는 것도 이 과목의 중요한 주제가 될 것이다.

This course takes a socio-historical approach on the Spanish Civil War, which resulted from aggravated problems of Spanish Modernity, and examines how Spanish post-war literature reflects the deep trauma of the past. Through this approach, the course looks into the impact Spanish Civil War had on the identity formation of the contemporary Spanish people. Another important theme of this course is to examine the political dimension of the Civil War trauma in the contemporary Spanish society.

이 교과목은 국가적 위기와 함께 시작된 스페인의 20세기 초 상황을 사회적 맥락에서 알아보고 '은의 시대'라 불리는 이 시기 스페인 문학의 문예 부흥을 살펴보고자 한다. 98세대, 27세대 등으로 대표되는 이 시기의 문학을 스페인 근대성의 위기라는 문제와 결부시킴으로써 시대적 산물로 위치시켜 그 특성을 살펴보고자 한다.

This course studies early 20th century Spain, a period of national crisis caused by many tragic accidents, and investigates another Renaissance of Spanish Literature called "Silver Age" in the history of Spanish literature. This course also examines literary heritage of the 98 Generation, 27 Generation, etc. in the context of Spanish modernity, which categorizes them as social products of the historical moment.

이 과목은 스페인 르네상스의 중심 작가인 세르반테스와 그의 작품을 중심으로 스페인 르네상스 문학의 특정성을 탐구하게 될 것이다. <돈키호테>로 대표되는 세르반테스의 문학작품은 스페인 르네상스라는 시대정신의 반영으로서 유럽의 다른 국가와는 다른 스페인적 르네상스 예술이 꽃피는 데 결정적인 역할을 했다. 이러한 관점에서 그의 문학 세계와 함께 스페인 르네상스의 주요 작품들을 논의해 보고자 한다.

This course investigates the specific works of Spanish Renaissance Literature focusing on Cervantes and his literary texts. El Quijote and Cervantes’ other works were considered a reflection of socio-cultural logic of Spanish Renaissance, which had some distinct traits in comparison with works from other countries. From this point of view, this course studies not only Cervantes’ works, but also other important literary works of Spanish Renaissance.

이 과목은 문화연구의 관점에서 스페인 현대사회를 해부한다. 프랑코의 사망 이후부터 현재까지 생산된 다양한 문화 텍스트들인 대중소설, 영화, TV, 신문 등이 그 분석 대상이 될 것이다. 이를 통해 성, 젠더, 지역주의, 권력, 종교 등 현대 스페인 사회의 다양한 이슈들을 검토하고 논의할 것이다. 문화연구의 방법론을 습득하는 것 역시 이 수업의 중요한 목표이다.

This course analyzes contemporary Spanish society from the perspective of cultural studies. Various kinds of cultural texts such as popular novels, films, TV, newspapers, etc. will be the materials used for analysis. In the process, diverse issues facing contemporary Spanish society such as sexuality, gender, regional nationalism, power, religion, etc. will be discussed. Mastering cultural studies, both theory and practice, is another important goal of this course.

이 교과목은 19세기 독립이후 활발하게 생산된 중남미 산문의 흐름과 성격을 사회문화적인 맥락과 관련하여 고찰하며, 특히 정체성의 문제를 다룬 산문들을 중심으로 중남미 문학 전반에 끼친 영향을 집중적으로 조명한다.

In this course, students will explore Hispanic-American prose produced since the independence period of the 19th century within the social and cultural contexts. They will intensively focus on how these proses illuminating on the question of identity affected the entire Hispanic-American literary world.

주요 작가들의 문학세계와 대표적인 문학운동들의 성격을 중남미의 구체적인 사회문화적 콘텍스트에 주목하여 고찰하는 과목으로 학제적 접근방식을 적용하여 지평의 확대를 도모한다.

In this course, students will study major Hispanic- American writers and representative literary movements by emphasizing concrete social-cultural contexts. They will expand literary approach by applying interdisciplinary methodology to textual analysis.

‘환상문학’, ‘마술적사실주의’, ‘모더니티와 포스트모더니티’, ‘식민주의와 탈식민주의’ 등 중남미 문학 연구에서 가장 핵심적인 토픽을 설정하여 한 학기 동안 집중적으로 고찰하는 과목으로 연구 발표와 토론이 중심을 이룬다.

In this course, students will choose one topic among important subjects such as ‘fantastic literature’, ‘magical realism’, ‘modernity and postmodernity’ and ‘colonialism and postcolonialism’, which are highly pertinent to Hispanic-American literature studies. This course will be mainly conducted based on class discussion and presentation of students.

중남미문학에 적용된 다양한 문학비평방법론의 사례를 통해 그 의의와 한계를 비판적으로 고찰함으로써 중남미 고유의 문학비평방법론의 가능성을 모색하는 데에 목적이 있다.

In this course, students will examine the interrelation between literature and criticism and discover the contents and the essence of criticism by reading a variety of Hispanic-American literary works.

This course analyzes representative works of Hispanic- American novels such as those of Borges or Garcia Marquez in relation to world literature. By doing so, this course intends to enrich understanding of Hispanic-American literature. Ultimately, itattempts to attain a more balanced view by challenging Eurocenturistic perspectives.

이 과목에서는 환상과 현실, 합리성과 비합리성을 넘나드는 상상력의 극단을 창조하며 소설의 새로운 지평을 열었던 라틴아메리카 붐세대 작가들의 소설 미학과 그 역사적 배경을 가브리엘 가르시아 마르께스, 마리오 바르가스 요사, 훌리오 꼬르따사르, 까를로스 푸엔떼스 등의 대표적인 작가들을 통해 탐구하며, 더 나아가 포스트붐 작가들과의 비교를 통해 그 차별적 요소를 규명한다.

This course focuses on the Latin American boom generation, its novelistic aesthetics and historical and political context. The Latin American boom generation explores a new territory of the novel by marking a significant departure from the realist narrative, the predominant genre of the 19th century. The boom became the embodiment of literary hybridity by formally experimenting with the concept of limits and thus destabilizing concepts that capitalist culture had come to reify: ordinary vs. magic; and reason vs. unreason, among others. This course begins by analyzing the key works of the boom’s most prominent representatives: Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Colombia), Mario Vargas Llosa (Peru), Julio Cortazar (Argentina), and Carlos Fuentes (Mexico). Moreover, it distinguishes the boom writers’ salient categories by juxtaposing their works to those of the Latin American post-boom.

이 교과목은 라틴아메리카 식민시대의 대표적 여성 작가인 멕시코의 소르 후아나 이네스 데 라 끄루스에서부터 시작된 여성주의 문학이 20세기까지 어떠한 양상으로 전개되어 왔는지 살펴본다. 특히 주요 작가들의 구체적 작품에 대한 독해와 분석을 통해서, 스페인 식민문화가 남긴 마치스모와 마리아니스모를 극복하려는 노력과 라틴아메리카 사회의 다양한 정치경제적 상황 변화에 대응하는 방식을 살펴봄으로써 라틴아메리카 여성주의 문학의 특수성과 보편성을 확인하고자 한다.

This course focuses on the development of feminist literature of Latin America from Mexico’s Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, the remarkable author of the colonial period, all the way to the 20th century. The course attempts to explore both particular and universal aspects of the Latin American feminist literature by analyzing some representative works, which allow us to encounter the concrete ways in which literature exercises challenges to machismo and marianismo, and how it wields responses to the significant heterogeneity that characterizes the political and economic situations in Latin America.
